Deep cleaning the garden means pulling a whole bunch of weeds out from the strawberry beds. They look like they'll start producing soon, but I still think replacing them with a walking onion bed and an herb garden makes more sense, because I just won't use a few strawberries at a time enough to justify the work vs reward.

Kiyan had climbed onto a raised bed beneath one of the trellis. Luckily he didn't step on any of the cucumbers, but did compact some of my dirt. I think building that fence around the raised bed would be better for the garden's survival than just keeping the rabbits out.

More of the walking stick kale is growing than I had anticipated. Out of about 8 originally planted, I think 5 or 6 are still going. They still have lots of growth yet to do before becoming the mighty towers of cabbage they are supposed to be. I'm surprised the rabbit only chomped on one of them. Then again, demon bunny has been leaving my romaine alone.

After all that outside work, I think it's time to check out some of that ice cream I made earlier. It should have set up nicely by now.
