The heartburn that bugged me all last night and for a good part of today is abating, to be replaced with my tendons of the left arm aching from the old bagel injury.

Dad is done with his part of the basement, now I get to do a lot of cleaning, combined with some priming and painting of the last few bits. Pictures when more stuff is done.

The first day of summer for the kids has been spent largely indoors, I've been dragging since last night. I probably came down with whatever has been bugging Marz for ages. I swear the dust downstairs makes me nauseous, although I can deal with poo without gagging at all now (one benefit of being a stay at home dad, the ability to handle unpleasant things without flinching). Pari has a dental apt in under 2 hours, so they are getting a much needed soak and suds before the outing. I'm sure Pari will be dissapointed when we don't wander downtown much, but I'm tired and have way too much to do here.

The pipe under the second sink blew off while i was running the garbage disposal this morning. It was just the plastic nut that broke, so I took the whole length to the hardware store and replaced everything down to the P bend (the pipes were old and gross, was better to replace them all now than wait for another issue to pop up). Only about $10 and a few minutes with a saw, then the sink was fixed. Cleanup will take a little longer since it involves taking everything from beneath the sink and wiping it down before putting it back, probably thinning what goes back under at the same time.
