time to pack for naka... [Feb. 17th, 2010|04:37 pm]

Tomorrow evening I get dropped off at Naka-Kon. If anyone from Lawrence plans to come back on Sunday let me know if I can catch a ride, otherwise I'll inconvenience family for a ride.

The basement remodeling continues, Dad got a lot done today (I took out a bunch of trash). Next week will show some major changes as a wall comes down, framing and drywall goes up.

I was clearing off some old thumb drives, and found a pic that I don't think ever got posted. Pari and Kiyan back in 2006.

And I think I figured out why I was having a hard time finding the cup carving knife with a curved blade. It's called a crooked knife in the UK and maybe Canada, in the US I find it under "spoon carving knife" searches. I've found a couple of sellers, I'll check it out closer to when I'm actually going to carve something. And I may carve some wooden spoons, too.
