I'm actually browsing snow blowers online. Sure it would only get used a couple times a year, but there are some smaller units that are electric and fit in the basement, that would fill most of our snow removal needs. I'll check it out more after Marz gets home from her shopping (and I go out and make a run for more tea, our supply is dangerously low for a house that essentially has caffeine on tap in the form of endless iced tea in the fridge).

Heh. We bought a snow blade today for the garden tractor.

I'm thinking a flame thrower would work well. Clear the drive, and entertain at the same time. Works for removing weeds along the fence line too, long as the fence isn't wood.

Sadly, I know something of this and can say that a flame thrower will melt the siding on house, overheat bricks to flaking, and possibly start fires even in frigid temperatures.

Yeah, but at least the drive would be cleared. And that damned pile across the drive left by the snowplow.

Then again, it may be closer to the gas line than I want.
