We took the kids to the LAP (Language Acquisition Preschool) picnic (Kiyan currently attends, Pari is alumni). We all ate, they rampaged, everyone is happy.

I have a 3 tier sprouting system that I started using a couple days ago, right now I have a good supply of alfalfa, radish and mung bean sprouts that will be a salad in a couple of days. I've had fun looking online at sprouting systems, including a self watering one that looks pretty cool, but I have the ability to run it under water once or twice a day.

I'm faced with the need to mow 2 lawns tomorrow. It will be a workout but manageable. I also gave up on the squash seeds I was attempting to sprout in soil, instead sprouting them much like I do the sprouts I've done this week. Today they soaked in water, later tonight they get put on wet paper towels to sprout up and get some growth started. I've done it several times with pumpkin seeds, I figure it'll give the seeds the jump start needed before they go into dirt. I need to get some cedar and build the raised beds on either side of the shed for the squash to be planted.
