its just like removing a splinter, but in a loop... [May. 31st, 2009|04:01 pm]

I swung by the emergency room a bit ago to see about getting the stitches removed, and the waiting room was full. If it took 3 hours when there were only 2-3 people to get the stitches, I wasn't waiting for countless hours with a full house. So I went home, confirmed that all four stitches rotated, and removed them myself. It wasn't even uncomfortable, less than removing a splinter. So now I'm stitch free, and looking forward to being without a bandaid on my finger.

My only regret is that I didn't take the time to have Marz draw on my finger to make it look like Frankenstein, with the stitches across the forehead. Maybe next time I'm a dumbass with a knife I can try doing that.

Hey, at least you didn't have to pay the big-ass bill that always comes w/ ER visitation

The stitches removal would have counted as part of the initial visit, actually. But I'm glad that we have insurance, otherwise the overall visit would have probably cost in the thousands for a cleaning and stitching rather than just the $100 copay.
