agricultural update... [May. 25th, 2009|06:30 pm]
Verminius Rex
I finished the rope work for the container gardens, this time using scissors so I can still count to ten without viewing any new band-aids. I see that my pepper plants in the Rubbermaid bins seem to keep the soil more damp, I suspect from it not being nearly as deep and having more bleed ropes. The tomato plant with 3 fruits ripening had a structural failure and the stem was bent over, but after tying it upright there isn't any sign of wilting. Blooms are forming on the other tomato plant and both pepper plants, so they should be producing before too long. Marz got some squash seeds to plant, I'll have to see what can be done with them in containers.

All I have to do is add the gravel and soil to 2 containers and they will be ready for onions (maybe one for the squash, although sprouting them first may be a good idea). And I need to top off the soil in my containers with the worm poo I traded for some bagels a week ago.
