yeah, more market wishes.... [May. 2nd, 2009|08:50 pm]
Verminius Rex
I'm sorely tempted to get a pedicab for a Market vehicle. I figure I'll pump up the tires to my bike, and if I can make the ride to and from the house to the market parking lot twice a week for a couple weeks, I'll give it more serious thought. They have some for an excellent price on Ebay, which is one reason I'm so tempted. We'll see just how steep those rolling hills feel to my out of shape body on a normal bike before I go after a pedicab.

Straight shot up Haskell, not much of a rise there. Good luck with that.

Andrew spent a lot of time last year very tempted about getting one, and you could get a motor assist for the pedaling up hill. Eventually I did talk him out of one and got a real car instead, but the wanting is still there and we got to see them up close in NY and they are neat.

We saw (and rode in one) in San Diego. I found the variety of styles to be interesting, too.

I love my Xtracycle. Mine is built on a 21 speed Townie, but you might be able to put on your regular bike. Just sayin'. :)

I just have too much stuff to carry to fit on that, although it's tempting. The canopy, table, stool, display baskets and at least four big bins full of bagels is just too bulky, although I do suppose the weight wouldn't be beyond what that bike would handle.

I've seen so many bike mod kits since searching online about pedicabs and such. There are some really cool kits to convert any bike into a tricycle.

Oooh, a table. Hm. I'm going to agree with your friend who suggested e-assist!

When the bagels are able to pay for e-assist to be installed on the trike, I'll put it on. Unfortunately I have a new oven to pay for first, although I suspect that the ability to increase production will offset much of the oven expense.
