shiny objects... [Dec. 22nd, 2008|07:51 pm]

We went up to KC and got Marz at work, then hit Index Restaurant Supply for a scouting mission (just wanted to see what they had). Many shiny objects that I don't need right now, but always nice to have access to a place with many things like that. 20 qt mixer that I don't have a use for at the moment, but damn it would make bagels faster.

Sister called when we were on the way home, her evening plans canceled so she watched Things 1&2 so Marz and I could have a 14th anniversary dinner (day after, but close enough) at Longhorn Steakhouse. We shared appetizer, prime rib and a dessert. Yum.

Time to play with the kids and a ton of playdough.

Wait... what? Last time I was at Longhorn prime rib wasn't on the menu except in a sandwich!

They have it standard, whatever the word for with juice (aujuice?), roasted garlic and some other kind. It was very tender.

521 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64105

River Market area, easy to find and at least while I was there plenty of parking. Open 8am-5pm weekdays, don't remember seeing weekend hours but I was just looking to see when they closed today.

I'll have to go there again when I have some money to spend and no family to rush me through the browsing. At the very least they had my metal pizza peels there.
