Today we swung by ConQuest mostly so Marz could pick up some pottery she put a bid on. While doing a round of the dealer's hall some people from what I assume is a boffer larp group were going around selling raffle tickets for your typical POTC cutlass. Marz spotted me a fiver, and I gave them my name and ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=91.6) drpaisley name in case I won and was already on my way home.
We went to lunch, and passed through the con again on the way to the car.fireguarder asked if I'd seen drpaisley because he had a sword for me. Sweet! So I now have a real (albeit cheap) pirate sword of my own. Pari is already calling it the "family sword", and wants a pirate outfit to go with it. She doesn't like being told that she gets pretend swords for her costumes.
So now we are home, and everyone is tired. I think it's time for a family nap until dinner. |
